Step 3: Choose Your Network
Once you’re in, the extender scans for available WiFi networks. You can see the name of your home wifi in the list. It’s the same one your phone connects to normally. Enter your WiFi password exactly as it is.
Hit confirm. The extender will link to your router. Takes a minute or two, the lights will blink, then settle. That means it’s connected.
Step 4: Place the Extender in the Right Spot
Just unplug the extender and keep it halfway in between the dead zone/ weak signal area and the router. Don’t stick it too far, or it won’t catch the router’s signal properly.
Best test: check your phone WiFi bars. If the extender light shows strong and your device pick up “Wavlink-EXT” with solid signal, you’re good.
Step 5: Quick Troubleshooting
Sometimes setup doesn’t go smooth. A few quick checks:
- If you are unable to reach the setup page the you can just reset the extender On the back is pin hole button, just press and hold 10 seconds.
- If the extender is getting disconnected again and again or the range keeps dropping, try another socket/outlet. This outlet should be near the router.
- If speed feels slow, check how many devices are connected. Extenders share bandwidth, so too many users at once can choke it.
